The government had sent the proposal on May 21 last and it took the Raj Bhawan around one and a half months time to clear four names.
The Governor had refused to give his approval on the names of Dr Kamlesh Kumar Pathak, Sanjay Seth, Ranvijay Singh, Abdul Sarfraz Khan and Dr Rajpal Kashyap and have returned back their applications to the government. The Governor has asked the CM to recommend the names for the nominated MlC posts of the people who had excelled in the field of literature, science and art. Raj Bhawan had also sought detail bio-data of the candidates including their crime record, their conviction or punishment.
Secondly, they have been asked to give detail bank loan of the candidates and whether they are defaulter or not. Thirdly and the important query sought by the Governor is in which field these candidates have excelled or made their contributions. The governor has asked the CM to select the candidates on the letter and spirit of Article 171(E) along with Article 171(5) of the Constitution.
