Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that his Governments has a secular credential as it works for the welfare of people of all caste and religion and is determined to maintain communal peace in Uttar Pradesh at any cost.“I am proud of my country where people of so many religious belief live peacefully. My government is determined to maintain this peace and harmony at any cost,” Yadav said while addressing participants in Platinum Jubilee Celebration of Catholic Diosis here on Tuesday.
He assured the people that state government will provide an environment of respect to the people of all religions. “All the religion teaches brotherhood and communal peace. The aim of all the religion is same. When they (religion) teaches us same thing why should we differentiate into the method of reaching our goal,” he said. Yadav lauded th work done by Christian institutions in far flung areas in health and education sectors.
“The life spam of a human is very short but an institution lives for ever. Its contribution to the society is valuable. More such type of institutions should be set up in remote parts of the state,” he said. “The institutes established by the Christian community are serving public without any discrimination. They are providing quality education,” he said and assured government help to such organisations. Chief Minister also released the special cover made by the Postal Department on the occasion.
