Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, dispatched a letter to Union Minister for Road and Surface Transport, Nitin Gadkari, requesting him to issue permit for introducing bus service between Kaushambi in Ghaziabad to Kathmandu, at earliest. Reminding Gadkari, of his previous letter, Akhilesh said that they sought permit to start bus services to Kathmandu from Varanasi (Parliament constituency of prime minister Narendra Modi) and Kaushambi but the Central had just cleared the Varanasi project while no communication has been made for the other bus service.
Asking to clear the permit at earlier, Yadav also said that the move regarding increasing road safety has been already taken up by his government and awareness campaign were organised in school and colleges besides other public places. Yadav, made above disclosure while commenting on Central Government’s proposal to introduce Road Safety as a subject in school’s curriculum.
