CM Akhilesh should resign on moral grounds : BJP

Hitting out at the Samajwadi Party regime, the state BJP said that a government which can not provide health care facilities to people had no right to remain in power and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav should resign on moral grounds.

“What happened in Kanpur was pathetic where a 12-year-old boy died on the shoulder of his father as doctors refused to examine the child and sent him to the Paediatric ward. This is not an isolated case of negligence. Several such incidents have been reported from Trauma Centre (KGMU) in lucknow. The botched up tubectomy operations in Jaunpur and frequent death of children in Gorakhpur reflect the poor health facilities in the state,” BJP spokesman Harishchandra Srivastava said in lucknow on Wednesday.

Srivastava said that the government which can not provide health services has no right to stay in power and hence the Chief Minister should resign on moral grounds.

He also alleged that admission scam in Sports Hostel was a big fraud with the youth of the state. “Over 300 fake admissions were carried out and anomaly worth crores of rupees was unearthed. But the SP government didnot act against the guilty. This scam was carried out under the nose of the Sports minister and indicates that he was in cahoots with the scamsters,” the BJP spokesman said.
