Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that only the Bharatiya Janata Party could build the Ram Mandir at the Ram Janmabhoomi and not those who considered Ram and Krishna as mythical figures.
“The youths should make people aware that if anyone can do this work it is our party,” Yogi said while responding to the slogans raised by the young participants from across the country who congregated for the Yuva Kumbh at the Smriti Upvan on Sunday.
At the start of the speech by the Chief Minister, the youths assembled there shouted, “The vote will go to the party which gets the temple constructed.”
The Chief Minister also cautioned the youths against people who were conspiring against the country. “Be alert of the people who are scripting conspiracies against the country and be wary of them at all stages,” he said.
Calling upon the youths to use their talent and energy, the Chief Minister said at the inaugural session of the Yuva Kumbh that if they used their energy in a constructive manner they could take the country to great heights in the international scenario. However, he warned, that if this energy was used in a negative manner it could drag the country to the lowest levels.
Yogi Adityanath asked the youths to take the message of Kumbh to different parts of the country. He said Kumbh was symbolic of unity of the culture that exists in the country.
Recalling the words of a former Chief Minister of Kerala, Yogi said the former Chief Minister had expressed that if the country did not have one culture then a man from Kerala called Adi Shankaracharya would not have established a peeth in all four corners of the country.
Talking about the conception of the idea of having a Yuva Kumbh, the Chief Minister said that he came up with the idea of holding five Vaicharik Kumbhs when he read an article in a western magazine that said holding a Kumbh was against environment and against women.
“The first Paryavaran Kumbh was held in Varanasi and this is the first time that devotees will have pure Ganga waters. How can we be against the environment when it is a part of our culture?” Yogi asked.
“The second Kumbh was held in Vrindavan which was Mahila Paryavaran. How can Kumbh be against women wherein everything which is venerated is given the prefix of Mata,” he added.
The Chief Minister said that he was surprised to hear that Kumbh was against Dalit when people from all religions, castes and creed come to it without any discrimination.
Yogi said that the Yuva Kumbh was the fourth in the Vaicharik Kumbhs. He told the youths that their energy was powerful and wherever they went they brought in great synergy.
“The youths cannot be in an aimless ‘trishanku’ and need to have an aim,” he added.
Emphasising that the state and the Central governments were committed to the welfare of the youths. the Chief Minister said that in Uttar Pradesh the government had given jobs to 1.5 lakh people under the Prime Minister’s Skill Development programme and 77,000 teachers and 50,000 policemen were going to be shortly recruited. Besides, he said, under the One District One Product scheme, 20 lakh people would be benefited.
The Chief Minister said that the fifth Vaicharik Kumbh would be held at Prayagraj on January 30 where religious heads of all dharmapeeths would gather.
“This is the first time that Kumbh is being held at a time when the Unesco has declared it as a cultural heritage,” he added.
Emphasising that there were several firsts to this Kumbh, he said that it would be for the first time after 400 years and since the time of Akbar that the Akshayvat and Saraswati Koop would be opened to public. “A statue of Goddess Saraswati will also be put up at this point. This is also the first time that various cultural heritage structures associated with Kumbh will be restored and a statue of Rishi Bharadwaj will be erected at the restored site.” he added.
The Chief Minister said that they would also be providing waterway connectivity to the Kumbh and people would be able to travel from Varanasi to Prayagraj through the river.
He said that air connectivity had been provided to over 72 places and the government had constructed 10 flyovers and foot over bridges , six under passes and upgraded 264 roads for a better road connectivity.
“The visitors will not even find a single fly or mosquito at the Mela area. Over 1,22,000 toilets have been constructed and the Kumbh Mela area has been extended from 1,700 hectares to 3,200 hectares,” he added.
The Chief Minister said that people from over 72 countries and six lakh villages of India would congregate at the same point for the Kumbh.
