Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Sunday, said that now entrepreneurs were more than willing to come to Uttar Pradesh and invest because of the atmosphere of security and confidence in the state.

“The state, the system and the resources are the same and only the government has changed and now positivity is visible as the government is committed to carrying on development works with a positive attitude,” said the CM, who was dedicating to people and laying the foundation stones of projects worth more than Rs 580 crore in Gorakhpur.

Referring to his recent visit to Mumbai, when the bond of Lucknow Municipal Corporation was listed at the stock exchange, the CM said that since 2017, the perception of people had changed due to the developmental activities taking place.

“Entrepreneurs, businessmen and film-makers who came to meet me expressed their desire to invest in UP,” he said.

Taking a jibe at the opposition, the CM said that during the Ram temple movement, those who used to say that Lord Ram was imaginary, were today saying that Ram belonged to everyone. “May the God maintain this wisdom,” Yogi said.

Speaking about the development in eastern Uttar Pradesh, once dubbed as  backward, the CM said that this region now stood in competition with any region on the basis of a slew of development works.

“For this, the government is working with commitment and development is a priority for us. All the institutions have been asked to maintain accountability in development works,” the CM said.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the successful control of COVID-19 and arrangement of vaccines, Yogi said that under Modi’s leadership, India had become the first country in the world to get success on two vaccines.

“In all the Covid hospitals, services are being provided free of cost to everyone. Over 5.73 lakh people have been treated. The Covid protocol was followed by the cooperation of the people and now when everything is under control, we have to maintain vigilance,” the CM said.

The CM also said that a software was being developed for free coaching for the youths preparing for IAS and IPS (civil services) competitions.

“Now the youths will not have to go out of their cities for competitive exams,” he added.

The projects for which the CM laid the foundation stones included jail bypass four-lane road at a cost of Rs.99.04 crore, six-lane road widening from Nauhur to Padleganj at a cost of Rs 89.05 crore, 24 bed hospital in district jail at a cost of Rs 1.25 crore, construction of government-run school for mentally retarded at a cost of Rs 8.13 crore, and others.
