Children spoiled during SP regime committing crimes: UP minister

Uttar Pradesh’s Rural Engineering Minister Rajendra Pratap Singh aka Moti Singh held the previous Samajwadi Party regime responsible for the deterioration in law and order in the state, saying that the “children spoiled during the previous regime were committing crimes”.
Moti Singh said this on the sidelines of a programme of Karma Devi Educational Institutes group in Basti on Wednesday.
“Children who were spoiled during Akhilesh Yadav regime are committing crimes. Akhilesh’s father Mulayam Singh Yadav had then said that children make mistakes (bachchon se galti ho jati hai),” Singh said while talking to reporters.
“During the SP regime, there was a ‘jungle raj’ in the state but the present government is working on controlling crime. The police during SP regime were crippled but now they have freedom,” he added,
When asked about the tearing of a copy of the Citizenship Amendment Bill in Parliament by All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi, Moti Singh said, “Everyone knows the history of Owaisi and his USP lies in such activities.”
On the Congress, Singh said that the party was directionless and lacked a leader who could restore people’s confidence in them.
“It seems that the foremost responsibility of the Congress is to protest any decision that goes in favour of the country. People of the country are in fact happy with the Bill (CAB),” he said.
