Chauhan is BJP candidate from Kairana

The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced the name of Anil Singh Chauhan as its candidate for the bypoll to Kairana assembly seat.

Polling will be held on October 15 and the votes will be counted on October 19.BJP state spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said Chauhan would be the party candidate from Kairana seat.The last day for filing nomination papers is Saturday. The scrutiny of the papers will be done on September 29.

The by-election to Kairana has been necessitated at BJP MlA Hukum Singh resigned the seat on being elected to the lok Sabha.Meanwhile, the BJP has taken strong exception to the statement of Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav in which he raised questions over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s US visit.

“When everyone is praising Modi for his foreign policy, the remark smacks of political vendetta. Modi is not going there of his own. He has been invited and this the world knows,” Pathak said.
