Rashtriya lok Dal (RlD), state president, Munna Singh Chauhan has demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe in the recruitment done by the UP government in the recent past.

Terming the recruitments conducted during the Samajwadi Party led government as UP version of Vyapam Scam of Madhya Pradesh, Chauhan pointed out there was more corruption in the five recruitment boards including the police recruitment board of Uttar Pradesh than the Vyapam scam. “Candidates of a particular district or particular caste bagged more number of seats during the recruitment drive and in this view it was a fit case for CBO probe,’ he explained. He further pointed out that each post was sold at a price and only a CBI probe could clear the doubts.

In a scathing attack on the present government, Chauhan alleged that Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav was shielding Yadav Singh to serve the interest of some of the leaders of Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party.

Exhorting the public to join the crusade against corruption, Chauhan said corruption had taken a cancerous form in present day and it could be weeded out completely from the society and from the state if the people unit on this issue. He termed the state government policy to safeguard the interest of farmers as faulty and demanded the farmers be paid their arrears soon as was possible. He warned to go on a phase wise agitation if the state government did not revoke the faulty decision that hampered the farmers’ interest. Hitting out strongly at law and order situation in the state, the leader said the SP was exposed on this issue. “Not a single day passes when there is not an incident of crime against women and other brutal incidents. There was nothing live governance in the state,’ he commented.
