The investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) further found that how the MlA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, used his henchmen to frame fake cases against the uncle of the victim just after she handed over an application accusing  the MlA for rape.

``It is interesting that four separate cases have been registered by the Makhi police on four different dates against the uncle of the rape victim but in all the FIRs, the incident was shown of the same date – October 21, 2017 pointing towards connivance of the local police with the MlA to bail him out by building up pressure of the victim’s family”, disclosed an officer of the CBI engaged with the investigation.

He claimed that the victim’s uncle reached Unnao on the above date (October 21, 2017) but return on the next day fearing attack on him by the MlA. However,  after his neice refused to withdraw case, the MlA allegedly used his henchmen, which included his driver, a block pramukh along with Vinod Mishra, Raj Kumar to get four cases registered against the uncle with the help of local police. The cases have been registered on October 30, 2017, November 1, 2017, and December 27, 2017. Sources said that on basis of these FIRs and investigation made by Unnao Police to help the accused MlA, the CBI will also initiate legal proceedings against the cops along with the MlA. Sources also confirmed that the CBI would include Kuldeep Singh Sengar’s name in the murder case of victim’s father.

It may be mentioned that that the POCSO Court in Unnao had further extended the police custody remand of Kuldeep Singh Sengar by a week, on Friday. The Bharatiya Janta Party (MlA) also faced trouble as the state government decided to withdraw his `Y’ category security from immediate effect on Friday.  As the police custody remand of Sengar was expiring on Saturday morning, so the CBI team moved an application before Additional District Judge (POCSO Court) Ashutosh in Unnao on Friday afternoon, seeking further extension of the remand period. The Court allowed the probing agency to continue to grill the MlA in their custody further for one more week till April 27.
