Bulundhshahr gang rape took a queer turn

The Bulundhshahr gang rape took a queer turn when the cops probing the incident filed a report in the local court saying that two of the accused arrested were in fact innocent and wrongly framed.

The police team investigation the Bulundshahr gang rape submitted a report in the local court under Section 169 of the Cr PC for the release of Naresh and Babloo, maintaining that they were innocent. The police now claim that their names wrongly cropped up during the probe and werehence arrested. During their arrest, both had pleaded innocence.

last Monday, even as they were being produced in the courts, the duo even pleaded innocence before the lawyers and cried thatthey had nothing to do with the gangrape with tears rolling down their cheeks.

Earlier, IG Meerut Zone Sujeet Pandey and even DGP Javeed Ahmed had held the two as the prime accused and also told the media that the victims had identified them.

The father of one of the accused said that his son was framed in order to solve the case. He claimed that his son worked as a labourer at the railway yard in Bijnore where the attendance sheet shows his presence on the fateful day.

Fingers are now being raised about the involvement of other accused and the police move to get two accused released is being seen as an effort to come clean on their 'fair probe' in the light of the fact that the High Court has ordered a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation.

It is worth mentioning here is that in Badaun gangrape case and the murder of minor sisters too, the under-duress local police arrested criminals in a hurry to please the political masters. During the subsequent probe by the CBI, it surfaced that some of the 'acused' were framed.

Sources claimed that both were detained by the police at least two days before the crime was committed and later released. However when the crime took place, they were picked up by the cops to save themselves from the ignominy of failingthe arrest the perpetrators.

Sources also claimed that not only the two, but all others so far arrested were not involved in the gruesome case but were framed by the police to save themselves and the state government from controversy.

Facng a barrage of criticism and public outcry, the Bulandshahr police claimed to have solved the July 29 gangrape case with the arrest of gang leader Saleem, and his two aides Pervez and Zubair. The cops had earlier arrested Naresh (25), Bablu (22) and Raees (28) who the police claimed were identified by the victims' family.
