The budget session of State legislature will start on January 29 next year. “On the first day, a joint session of the Vidhan Sabha and Vidhan Parishad will be held on January 29,” Principal Secretary Vidhan Sabha Pradeep Dubey and principal secretary (Vidhan Parishad)Dr Mohan Yadav, confirmed here on Tuesday afternoon. Governor Ram Naik has convened the session on recommendation of the state cabinet, they said.
Government is expected to bring a budget for the financial year 2016-17 in this session.
It may be mentioned that chief minister Akhilesh Yadav had assured the Governor that the new Session will be called in January next year and the Government would present budget for the next financial-year in February. Earlier, the government had skipped the Winter Session as it find no necessity to bring in any supplementary budget.
