BSP plans to take on SP in Budget session

Upset with the declining graph of the Party particularly shifting of it’s traditional vote bank, Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) had decided to make it’s presence felt by making an all out attack on Samajwadi Party government for their failure to provide peaceful atmosphere to the citizen. The Party will take on SP during the budget session beginning from Wednesday.

leader of the Opposition and BSP general secretary, Swami Prasad Maurya said here on Tuesday that the party members will raise the issue of ‘Jungle Raj’ in the state with the Samajwadi Party government handing over the regime to the criminals.  He said that SP will receive the same treatment in UP during the 2017 elections like the BJP got in the Delhi polls recently. Addressing a press conference on the eve of the budget session along with leader of the Opposition in the legislative Council, Nasimuddin Siddique,

Maurya alleged that there is flood in the incidents of crime in the state.  ‘During the Session, the party members will raise the issue of law and order, cane farmer dues, mass transfers and failures of the government,’ he claimed.   He also said that atrocities against the traders has gone up in the state while the recent spurt of dacoity incidents in Saharanpur and other parts of the state is a matter of concern.

Meanwhile, Siddique, alleged that the SP government is in nexus with the private sugar mills in the state leading to pending dues of the cane farmers worth over Rs 600 crore.  He also claimed that the government has also failed to protect the people from swine flu as there is neither any doctor or medicine. Commenting on UP Minister Azam Khan, Siddique said that the SP leader can insult anyone and has a habit of such nuisance. He also termed that the transfer of a government building to the trust of Khan in Rampur is also illegal. He also blamed the SP government for conspiring to cut short the budget session in order to prevent the Opposition to raise their issues. Earlier BSP president Mayawati had hinted that this time BSP members will play an active role during the budget session of the assembly. Terming as illegal the allotment of land to SP leader Azam Khan’s trust in Rampur, BSP  said it will raise the issue in the budget session of  legislature beginning on Wednesday.

“The land allotment to the trust is illegal... if the House is run as per the schedule and not cut short, we will raise the matter,” leader of the Opposition in the legislative Council, Naseemuddin Siddique said here. On senior state minister’s outbursts against Governor Ram Naik,  Siddique said the former is in the habit of humiliating people and it is unpredictable what he will speak and where. Siddique was responding to questions on state government allotting the building that houses the Jauhar Research Institute to Khan’s trust on a 33-year lease at Rs 100 per annum. “The state government has been fixing long schedules for conducting the House but has been cutting it short and just completing formalities,” he said.

“Many a times the government gets information also through the opposition...we also used to get it when we were in the government,” Siddique said, adding all issues, whether these were against any Party, needed to be raised. The former BSP minister accused the SP as ‘goondas’ of extorting money from overloaded trucks in his native place Banda and alleged that relatives of a state minister were hand-in-gloves with them. “It should be probed...illegal mining is going on in the state and loot is on in the name of mining,” Siddique said.

Meanwhile a local BSP leader in Muzaffarnafar has been expelled from the Party for alleged involvement in anti-party activities. “Rajaram Tarachand Shastri was expelled from the Party for anti-party activities on Monday,” BSP national General Secretary, Naseemuddin Siddique said. Shastri had contested polls from Khatauli Assembly constituency as a BSP candidate in 2012.
