BSP leadership has asked its candidates for the forthcoming lS elections to connect with masses

Cracking a disciplinary whip the Bahujan Samaj Party leadership has asked its candidates for the forthcoming lok Sabha elections to connect with masses otherwise they could be dropped.

"Party national president Mayawati has received complaints from different quarters about some candidates not carrying out their campaign effectively in co-odination with party’s co-ordinators. In some cases the candidates have not given details of the meetings that have been organised at the village level and response they have received there," party’s national general secretary Nasimmuddin Siddiqui told The Pioneer here on Tuesday.

He said acting on the complaint Behanji (as Mayawati is known among the party workers) has given the candidates a last chance to connect with masses and carry out their campaign in co-ordination of party leaders and respective district in charges.

Siddiqui did not reveal the names of the party candidates who are in the radar of Mayawati. "When party will take action against them you will come to know automatically. Moreover, it is a warning to them. It does not mean they  are not working at all," he said.

Amid all the hype and hoopla created by media over AAP and Modi, the BSP is carrying out its election campaign silently. The workers have been asked to work in co- ordination with district in-charges and coordinators. The candidates have also been asked to send a report about booth level management at regular basis.

Meanwhile, another senior leader Swamy Prasad Maurya said that SP and BJP were trying to create communal disturbance in the state. "Both of them were behind trouble  during 84 Kosi Yatra and riots that rocked Muzaffarnagar. During campaign both the parties will again try to foment communal disturbance," he said.

Maurya said that only BSP can stop state from this communal tension. Not a single riot took place in Mayawati’s 5 year rule and over 130 communal skirmishes were reported in last two years. This show Samajwadi Party and BJP are hand in gl;ove," he said.
