Claiming that the Maha Parivartan rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a flop show, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has alleged that the crowd number given by BJP was exaggerated and people have rejected Modi and his demonetisation move.

Criticising the PM for raking up the issue of BHIM mobile app and accusing the BJP for making it an issue, Mayawati said,” If really the BJP respect Dr Ambedkar, then why they did not named the app. directly on his full name.” She said that every one knows how these people treat the dalits and how much they respect Baba Saheb Ambedkar.

“The rally of Modi was totally a flop after the failure of their Parivartan yatras while the speech of the PM was an old repeated one,” she said while adding that the BJP assembly candidates have tried their level best to bring crowd for the rally but their failed to do so. In a press statement issued here on Monday evening, Mayawati claimed that there were only 40,000 chairs at the rally held at Ram Bai Ambedkar ground and it was seen that these chairs were occupied by policemen though some were even left vacant. BJP has claimed that the crowd at the rally held on Monday was more than 10 lakhs, while PM himself said in the rally, that it was the biggest ever meeting he had attended in his political career.

Mayawati also alleged that even after several persual by PM to get a nod from the gathering that he was a native of UP as he represents Varanasi parliament but the crowd did not gave any response. Reiterating her demand that BJP should disclose the Party’s properties purchased before the demonetisation move, she said that, “it is surprising that PM was attacking the Opposition and demanding their disclosure but was keeping BJP’s asset in cover. It is a double talk of the PM and BJP.”

Meanwhile Congress also claimed that Modi’s rally failed to make any impact as prime minister did not addressed to any problem related to farmers, labourers or other down-trodden section of the society. ``Why Modi when publically announced that money coming after demonetisation in banks will be utilised for the welfare of poor, is not announcing loan waivers of farmers, clearing due of labourers working under MGNAREGA, or launching any programme to accommodate lakhs and lakhs of youths who lost their jobs just due to economic emergency enforced by prime minister in the name of banning old high denominations notes of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 and many more other problems faced by the public”, pointed Satyadev Tripathi, chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) Media cell.

Reacting to Modi’s rally in lucknow on Monday, Tripathi said that the it was a clear show of misuse of government machinery as well as use of black money. ``PM and BJP should release a `white paper’ that when no one could withdraw big amount from banks than how they managed to organise such a rally in which crore of rupees has been spent just to brought public in rally”, demanded Tripathi while alleging that it was just the `black money’ which BJP exchanged from banks just before the demonetisation move. ``The people had now understand that Modi is master of making fake promises as all his earlier welfare announcement turned out to be mere Jumla for the public”, added Tripathi while flaying the Prime Minister for pushing over one crore of public into unnecessary trouble through demonetisation.
