Both Bahujan Samaj Party and Congress flayed Bharatiya Janta Party and it’s leader for trying to politicise National Flag by taking out `Tiranga Yatra’.
“To divert the attention of the countrymen from their failure to forward any relief to poor people, farmers or any other community, BJP is now using National Flag for it’s tiranga Yatra”, asserted BSP supremo Mayawati. In a statement released here on Saturday afternoon, Mayawati claimed that the use of National Flag for political programmes is highly objectionable and must be immediately stopped.
Attacking BJP further on it’s president Amit Shah taking lunch in the house of a Dalit MP, the BSP chief said that the BJP had many governments in the state and even in the Centre so it must stop attending lunch or shedding crocodile tears for Dalits but bring in legislation to facilitate the welfare of the Dalit community if they were really serious towards their development. ``If BJP really wanted to help the Dalit community and help them in living with full dignity and honour than they must change the rules and give more power to the members of the community through legislation”, demanded Mayawati. She said that BJP is just doing politics over Dalit to make media head lines when the truth was before everyone.
Former UP chief minister also attacked Amit Shah for his comment that only BJP could do development of Uttar Pradesh. ``Everyone had seen what development BJP had done during it’s regime in Uttar Pradesh or even in the Centre”, Mayawati pointed alleging that the state go far behind in every field when BJP was in power.
The Congress too attacked BJP on it’s `Tiranga Yatra. ``It was not just unconstitutional to use national flag in any political programme but what is more serious is that the ruling Party, who was deemed to be responsible for protecting it, is himself involved in such unlawful exercise”, claimed Congress leader, Deepak Singh, who was recently elected MlC. ``BJP or it’s leader had never participated in freedom struggle so they seems to have no respect towards national flag which is a symbol of our freedom hence they even not think even once before using `Tiranga’ for making political gain out of it”, alleged Singh demanding that the President of India or State Governor should take immediate cognizance and stopped BJP to use National Flag in Party’s programme.
Attacking BJP further over their efforts to woo the Dalit vote bank, Singh said that the poor and down-trodden section of the society are now not going to be misguided by such political `dramebaji’. ``Narendra Modi had fooled the entire national by showing them dreams of Achche Din during last Parliamentary elections but now the truth is that the prime minister had even snatched two time meal from the common man and the Dalits and down-trodden section of the society are the worst hit”, asserted Singh claiming that the BJP is now trying to misguide the Dalits once again. Interestingly Singh also questioned over Shah’s claim of having lunch in a Dalit house. ``What BJP wanted to tell by claiming that BJP national president had lunch with a dalit when the truth is that Shah just had lunch with a Party MP in latter’s house”, Singh pointed while adding that if BJP wanted to check what the Dalit had left to eat in the BJP’s `achche din’, then they must go to the house of any poor and down-trodden section of the society to have lunch and not in the house of their own MP.
