Alleging Government was giving false information on investments in Uttar Pradesh BSP and BJP created a din in Vidhan Sabha saying government was trying to pull wool over the eyes of the people and staged a a noisy walk out from the House.
UP Dairy development minister Ram Murti Verma while replying to a question of BJP member Satish Mahana in the state assembly here on Thursday said that with an investment of Rs 15,976.29 crore around 111555 small, medium and large industries were set up between April 2012 and December 2014.
The minister further said that four big industries were being set up in the state with a tune of Rs 6659 crore while Sri Cement had already started its production from December last.
Mahana said these figures are false as there are reports that many industrial houses have pulled out from UP and have set up their shops in Uttarakhand. “Government has claimed that many industrial houses are interested in investing in UP. Who are these people,” he asked. leader of Opposition Swamy Prasad Maurya said that Government was trying to fool people by churning out wrong information.
Not satisfied with the answer BSP and BJP staged walk out separately. In another question, Chief Minister in a written reply said that during the Investors Conclave at the Global Partnership Summit in Agra 22 MoUs have been signed with 20 investors. In another question BSP and BJP voiced concern over delay in giving scholarships to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes students in the state and later walked out of the House.
The issue was raised by Raghunandan Singh Bhadauria (BJP). Social Welfare Minister Avdhesh Prasad said the government was committed to benefit the students of these sections of the society in an honest manner and officials of his department were in constant touch with central government officials for getting the Centre’s requisite share.
Indrajit Saroj (BSP) alleged that either the state is not interested in providing this facility to the SC/ST students or was not properly taking up the matter with the Centre. He charged the government with being anti-Dalit and staged a walkout shouting slogans.later BJP too staged a walkout.
