Bodies of three women were recovered under mysterious circumstances in separate parts of the State while bodies of a young couple was found hanging with a tree under mysterious circumstances in Muzaffarnagar. In Muzaffarnagar, two teenage lovers allegedly committed suicide by hanging from a tree after they failed to get their parents’ permission for marriage in Bhorakhurd village area. Reports said that 22-year-old Rajnish, a Dalit, and 18-year-old Imrana, who belonged to different communities, went missing on Sunday night and their bodies were found hangingon Monday morning. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and further investigations are on.
In Chitrakut, body of an unknown woman, probably in her early thirties, has been recovered from the jungles in Suchita Colony under Bargarh police station area on Sunday evening. The victim, who was hacked to death, seems to be sexually assaulted by someone before being murdered. A case has been registered in this regard and body was sent for autopsy test. Efforts were also on to identify the victim.
Similarly, in Rampur district, mutilated body of a 20-year-old Sarvesh, was recovered from fields outside her village on Monday morning. Sarvesh, was missing since last Friday evening. Circumstantial evidences suggested that she was killed on the same night somewhere else and only on Sunday night, her body was dumped in the fields. local police also not denied of possibility of sexual assault on the victim before she was murdered. The body was sent for post-mortem examination and further investigations are on.
In another incident, body of a 50-year-old woman, missing since last Saturday morning, has been recovered from a secluded place in Ghatampur area of Kanpur on Monday morning. Reports said that Krishna Devi, a resident of Raja locality of Ghatampur, suddenly disappeared after which her family members reported the matter to the local police. The head of the woman was crushed with some heavy object which pointed that she was killed by someone who tried to conceal her identity. Further investigations are on in the matter and body was sent for post-mortem examination.
Meanwhile, a woman was also found lying in unconscious state in Moradabad on Monday morning. Reports said that an unknown girl, who seems to be in her early twenties, has been found lying unconscious in the fields at Surajnagar Peetal locality under Kathghar police station area of Moradabad. Though local police claimed it to be a case of drugged and rob but some eyewitnesses claimed that the circumstantial evidences suggested that some youths had intoxicated and sexually assaulted her and later threw her at the secluded spot probably after taking her as ‘dead’. The victim was admitted in district hospital and local police is waiting for her to regain her conscious before moving ahead with the investigation.
