Former BSP minister, Daddu Prasad said on Saturday that the Bahujan Mukti Party would contest all seats in the 2017 Assembly elections of UP. A native of Banda, Prasad was the Rural Development minister in the BSP regime from 2007 to 2012.
Prasad said that his new political outfit would fight for completing the mission of Dr BR Ambedkar and BSP founder Kanshiram. He charged BSP chief Mayawati of ditching the mission of Ambedkar and Kanshiram in her lust for power and joining hands hands with feudal and communal forces. In 2012, Mayawati had asked Daddu Prasad to contest the Assembly polls from Gorakhpur and later he was expelled from the party.
Daddu Prasad alleged that there was no place for leaders with mass base in the BSP and Mayawati is scared of any leader who has a considerable following. He alleged that only sycophants rule the roost in the BSP. The former BSP leader said that his party would go alone in 2017 Assembly polls and asserted that his party would have an important role in the formation of a new government in UP after the elections.
