BJP's national executive meet scheduled for weekend with new war cry

The BJP’s national executive meeting scheduled for the weekend in Allahabad, will come up with a new war cry `Mera desh badal raha hai, ab UP ki baari hai’ to counter the ruling SP's `Pure hue vade, ab hai naye iraade’.

The SP has already gone to the town with slogans like 'Ummido ka Pradesh – Uttar Pradesh', showcasing investment potential in the state.

last month “Purre hue vaade, ab hai naye irrade” was coined focusing on Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s commitment of fulfilling all the promises made ahead of the 2012 election.

On completion of two years in office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had released a song `Mera desh badal raha hai, hum aage badh rahe hai’. In the national executive meet, the BJP will add the UP angle to it saying: `Mera desh badal raha hai; ab UP ki baari hai’

The meeting will also discuss and pass a resolution on deteriorating law and order, corruption and misrule in UP on the backdrop of Mathura violence and corruption of Yadav Singh. It is set to have a stamp of Modi Government’s achievements.

The Sangam city, where senior party leaders will hold discussions for two days starting June 12, has been spruced up in consonance with ' Swacch Bharat Abhiyan' – the pet project of the PM.

State BJP spokesperson Vijay Babadur Pathak said that Swachh Bharat Mission is a flagship scheme of the NDA government and hence filth in any form,  will be a blot on this campaign.

“We have formed maximum number of sub-committees to look after cleanliness and sanitation in the city,” he said.

The party has also planned to ferry some senior leaders from their hotels to the venue at the K P College ground on e-rickshaws to promote clean and green environment.

The Allahabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has been asked to monitor cleanliness in the city every hour paying special attention to a two-kilometer stretch.

"The party wants to portray Sangam City as a living example of its cleanliness mission. Not only the city but hotel rooms, circuit house and all roads leading to the venue will be supervised hourly by Sanitary Inspectors," Pathak said.

Party sources saiud that the national executive will commence at 3 pm on June 12 after the PM arrives and it will continue till the next afternoon. The public rally of the PM slated at the Parade Ground will be held at 5 pm on June 13.

However, the meeting of the BJP general secretaries is slated for June 11 while the office of bearers will meet in the morning of June 12. Both meetings are slated to be held at the Hotel Kanha Shyam, where senior party leaders would be staying.

To involve locals in the PM's rally, the BJP has decided to hold Janjagran Abhiyan at all the 99 main crossings of the city besides reaching to all localities through cleanliness drive and invite the locals to join the rally at the Parade ground.

“The Janjagran Abhiyan has started and it will continue for the next two days,” Pathak said.
