BJP wooing OBCs

The Bharatiya Janata Party has unveiled an ambitious plan to integrate 2,00,000 individuals from the Other Backward Classes (OBC) into its fold.

The initiative kicked off on Tuesday with a training programme inaugurated at the BJP state headquarters.

Utilising the power of social media, the BJP aims to reach 2,00,000 OBC individuals who will undergo training to become active members of the party. This initiative is spearheaded by the BJP OBC Morcha, the party’s OBC wing.

Through social media platforms, the BJP intends to engage with individuals from the previous generation and communicate its message effectively. The OBC Morcha will conduct training workshops on social media strategies in every district with dedicated teams formed for this purpose.

These teams, operating at the block level, will ensure the dissemination of the government’s initiatives and work targeting the backward classes at both the central and state levels. Each assembly constituency will also see the formation of teams comprising equal numbers of previous-generation and current-generation party workers.

A significant focus will be placed on the 79 major OBC sub-castes during the team formation process. These teams will actively engage with the public in preparation for upcoming elections, becoming the driving force behind election campaigns and promotions.

This initiative by the BJP seeks to empower and train active workers and leaders from the backward classes, ensuring their participation in handling in entirety the Lok Sabha election campaigns.
