Announcing that if BJP comes to power in UP it will probe corruption charges against Samajwadi party government including the excess expenditure for constructing lucknow- Agra expressway, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Vijay Goel said that this Uttar Pradesh government has no youth policy and was just interested in making money.

“Inaugurating the incomplete projects and laying foundation stones of new projects when state will go to polls shortly on shows Chief Minister is in a hurry to mint money from these projects,” he said while talking to reporters here on Tuesday. Goel said that the BJP government in UP will probe all the corruption matters including that of new lucknow- Agra expressway which had been constructed at higher price. “All the  projects would be under scanner,” he said.

Defending the demonetisation move of the Centre, Goel said that the move has been widely supported by the youths and claimed that in the coming elections, BJP will get overwhelming support from all section of the society.  “The opposition leaders are indirectly supporting the corruption by opposing the demonetisation move. UP chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav too had admitted the demonetisation move can benefit the BJP by stating that it has been brought eyeing UP elections,” he said.

To buttress his point the Union minister said that the elections to the urban local bodies in Chandigarh, where results were declared on Tuesday, out of 26 seats BJP has won 20 while its partner Akali Dal got one seat. “During 2014 lok Sabha polls, around 60 per cent youths of all the sections had supported Narendra Modi, but this time in UP polls it will increase as the youths are fully backing the demonetisation move,” he further claimed. Goel also said that the ongoing Parivatan yatras has created much enthusiasm for the people of the state and said that the UP elections would be held on the agenda of development and nothing else.

When asked about the allegations levelled by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal against PM, Goel said”these were wild charges and they have no proof. They are just trying to malign the image of the PM.”

Meanwhile, the Union minister participated in a youth training camp where around 2500 youths were trained for teaching the people in the rural area to go cashless.
