Uttar Pradesh Congress attacked the BJP leaders over dining at Dalit homes. Party leaders claimed that the truth behind the BJP’s new-found love for Dalits stood exposed after their ministers were found to be having meals from hotels and even hurting the sentiments of the community.
“After Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was found eating food prepared by his ministerial colleague and gulping mineral water, now some others ministers including Suresh Rana, were found to be having hotel meal in the name of taking food at Dalit’s home. It exposes that tyeh BJP was merely using Dalits as a vote bank,” pointed out state Congress spokesman Sanjay Bajpai.
Further attacking the ruling party on Wednesday, Bajpai said that by doing so, BJP leaders were not just hurting Dalit sentiments but also not hesitating to compare themselves with God.
``One of the BJP minister claimed that he took dinner at a Dalit home and the inmates were so happy that they confessed that it was like some dity blessing them by paying them a visit,” cited Bajpai.
“First they used lord Rama for dirty politics, now the BJP leader have started comparing themselves with God,” he said.
It may be mentioned here that after a controversy erupted at a Aligarh village, BJP minister Suresh Rana clarified that he took dinner prepared at a Dalit’s house but since there were overseveral persons accompanying him, hence food was ordered from a hotel.
