Predicting that the next assembly election will be like a tsunami in favour of the Bharatiya Janata Party which would blow away the Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and Congress like dry leaves, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that SP president Akhilesh Yadav should prepare for the 2027 polls instead of 2022.
Addressing a BJP Backward Classes Conference at Chetan Kishor Maidan (Sikandarpur) in Ballia on Monday, Maurya said that those who ordered firing of bullets at karsevaks and lathis on kanwariyas had suddenly started remembering Lord Ram.
“There is a need to beware of such electoral Hindus. Yesterday we saw pictures of Akhilesh Yadav worshipping Lord Parshuram. The fact is, one who could not adopt Lord Ram how can that person worship Parshuram. Akhilesh should reveal many times he has gone to Ayodhya since 2014,” the Maurya said.
Referring to the IT/GST raid on the premises of a perfume trader in Kanpur, Maurya said that since the fragrance of Samajwadi perfume spread, Akhilesh Yadav had become speechless. “Last time the Samajwadi Party was able to win 47 seats but this time the party will not be able to win even that many of seats,” he predicted.
Later, Maurya laid the foundation stones of 42 roads and six bridges to be constructed at a cost of Rs 72 crore and 48 roads being constructed at a cost of Rs 53.63 crore.
