The state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to launch its `Mission 2017’ in a big way by bringing out four Parivartan Yatras besides holding assembly segment wise booth presidents meetings in September.
"In order to publicise the achievements of the Narendra Modi government and failures of the Samajwadi party government in UP, BJP will bring out four Parivartan Yatras from four corners of the state. Besides, between September 10 and 30 booth level meetings of the chairpersons at all the assembly segments would be held," announced BJP state president Keshav Prasad Maurya here on Sunday.
The decision was taken during the meeting of the state office bearers here this morning which was chaired by BJP national vice-president and in-charge of UP Om Mathur.
Maurya said in order to educate youth about corruption in Akhilesh Yadav government particularly in the police recruitment and appointment in government jobs BJP would hold youth conferences in all the 92 organisational districts and cities.
"The party will also start new electoral registration programme between September 1 and 10 to enroll youth in the voting list. At present around 70 lakh youths are yet to be enrolled who had attainted the age of 18 on January 1, 2016," he said.
Meanwhile, Maurya has criticised the SP government for neglecting the people affected due to floods in eastern UP. "It is a big irony that Akhilesh Yadav Government has funds to spruce up the river fronts of Gomti in lucknow and Varuna in Varanasi but has no money for the flood affected people who have lost everything in the floods,” he said.
Maurya said that Government has allocated a budget of Rs 3000 crore for Gomti Riverfront and in comparison to it has released just a a few crore for the flood affected people. “This Government seems not concerned about the people who have been rendered home less and are dying of hunger,” he said.
He announced that BJP would send relief materials and will set up health camps in the flood affected areas.
