BJP to organize Abhiyan over JNU row

To take advantage of patriotism hype created in the country following anti-national slogans raised in JNU, BJP would organise a three-day Jan Swabhiman Abhiyaan in which all the frontal organisations of the party will stage protest across the state. The three day Abhiyan starts from February 18. BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said that this campaign will aim at unity and integrity of the country and will be held up to Mandal level. “These campaign will be an answer to separatist voices heard recently in JNU. We will talk about unity of the country,” he said.

The “desperation” of Congress and left parties is so high that they were out to “glorify even terror-supported agitations”. This is indicative of their political bankruptcy, Pathak claimed. During the three-day Jan Swabhiman Abhiyaan, members of the women wing of the party would organise a programme for Sadbuddhi (good sense) to Congressmen. The Scheduled Caste Morcha would organise Save the Constitution programme in front of the statue of BR Ambedkar and Kisan Morcha would hold jan swabhimaan chaupals.

Yuva Morcha would organise poster, banner and signature campaign and ex-servicemen would take oath of unity and integrity of the country, while intellectuals would organise public awareness seminars and other programmes.

Meanwhile, he also questions as why Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav kept mum for four years and has now woken up admitting deterioration in law and order situation. “The CM should reply what were the reasons for keeping mum for the last four years,” he said adding that it was unfortunate that CM is admitting now his lapses when the people have already decided to remove this government.

“The law and order situation in the state is such that people particularly the women are feeling insecure,” he said.
