A crucial three-day meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party will begin in lucknow on Saturday which will not only evaluate Yogi government’s performance but also take stock of organisational programmes.
State BJP general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak said that party president Amit Shah and UP’s in-charge Om Mathur will preside over these meetings.
“The BJP president is visiting UP as per his programme of visiting all the states of country. In every state, Shah has been staying for three days. In these days, he will have meeting with ministers as well as party functionaries,” Pathak told ‘The Pioneer’ on Friday.
Shah will hold meeting with party office bearers from Awadh, Kashi, Gorakhpur and Kanpur regions and also interact with various district chief and district in-charges.
The BJP president will reach lucknow on Saturday afternoon and later in the evening will meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, his two Deputy CMs and other state ministers. In that meeting, Shah is expected to take progress report from the ministers.
The meeting appears crucial because earlier this week, Chief Minister had chastised ministers asking them to pull up their socks and not to meddle with transfers. Shah is also likely to evaluate the progress of these ministers.
On July 30, Shah will address a group of intellectuals at Scientific Convention Centre of KGMU. The same day, he will meet party’s state office bearers and heads of various cells to discuss programmes under Deendayal Upadhyay Birth Centenary celebrations, the Vistarak campaign and office development.
The BJP chief will also meet with BJP organisational units from booth to state levels on July 31. Shah is also expected to meet senior RSS leaders and get a feedback about government’s performance. last week, senior RSS leaders had met the CM and had complained about non-performance of the Government.
Meanwhile, lucknow has been decked up for Shah’s impending visit and has been painted with saffron hue with hoardings and banners being put up across the city from Amausi airport to BJP headquarters.
