BJP slams govt on law, order issue

Alleging that there was increase in incidents of crime the state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said that it was because the State Government was differentiating criminals on the basis of religion and caste.

"All the criminal incidents are being weighed on the political scale of profit and loss. People belonging to particular caste and religion are being spared. This is creating a rift among the sections of society," BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here on Tuesday.

He said that such biased attitude of the Government has given a spurt to crime in Uttar Pradesh.Meanwhile the BJP also questioned the reason behind surprise laying of foundation stone of the AIIMS by Congress president Sonia Gandhi at Rae Bareli. "The way Gandhi laid the foundation stone of the AIIMS shows there is something wrong with the project," Pathak said.

Pathak said Congress should clarify as who were the people who were against the bhoomi pujan which forced Gandhi to keep the programme a secret.
