Questioning Mayawati’s silence over atrocities committed on dalits state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party said that BSP chief should not comment on BJP’s policies as this party believes in development of all sections of the society.
“The day Mayawati issued statement against BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched Start Up India campaign under which dalit entrepreneurs would get loans between Rs 10 lakh and 100 lakh to start their business. They will now not seek job but will give job to people,” BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said in a statement issued here on Tuesday.
He said that BJP believes that all sections of society should contribute equally for the development of nation. “There are few parties who set up caste-based bhai chara committees dividing society in caste brackets and there is BJP which believes in obliterating these caste lines,” Pathak said.
“It is the same Mayawti who issued statements on suicide of Rohith Vamula but is silent on the killing of dalits in UP,” Pathak said. “BSP Chief should tell people as what is cooking between BSP and SP and why she has ignored plights of dalits of Uttar Pradesh,” he said.
BJP spokesman was reacting to the statement of Mayawati where she called BJP as anti-dalit and sacking of party’s women head for her casteist remark as an eye wash.
“It is BJP which acted in a jiffy and took decision to expel a senior leader from party for six years. We believe that no leader, big or small, has right to criticise other section of the society,” Pathak said.
Meanwhile, BJP has decided to celebrate April 6 as Foundation Day. This function will be celebrated on all the 90 functional units of the party. Senior party leaders have been asked to attend function at block level. Party president Dr laxmi Kant Bajpai will attend function at Meerut, party spokesman said.
