Questioning Samajwadi Party Government’s decision to give safe passage to Mayawati in corruption cases, the state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party said Chief Minister should make the report on Noida farm house scam public.
"The Samajwadi Party had said during its election campaign that it would probe the scams of BSP regime by constituting a judicial committee. What happened to that promiseIJ Where is that committeeIJ" asked BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak here on Tuesday.
In his daily press briefing he said why the Akhilesh Government is silent on corruption charges of Mayawati Government. "During election campaign Akhilesh Yadav used to remind people about the Noida land scam, Noida farm house allocation scam, lacfed Scam and monument construction scams. He had promised people that his government will set up a judicial probe and ask the same to submit report within a time frame. What happened to that promise," he asked.
Pathak said that report of Noida scam is with Chief Minister. The onus is now on him to start a probe and take action against the guilty. The BJP spokesman said that the state is heading towards an anarchy. Officials who ask questions during ministers’ meet are being punished. "This happened with an officer who asked question from senior minister Azam Khan in Kisan mela and was arrested from a roadways bus. Why this happened," he asked.
