BJP national sect appreciates for voting in large number

The two leading national political parties hailed the citizens for participating in a record number in one of the biggest democratic exercise of the world. They claimed that it will further boost the Country’s democratic set-up and will set an example before everyone.

Bharatiya Janta Party national general secretary and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, Amit Shah has thanked the people of the State for turning out in large numbers to vote in west UP on Thursday.''I have been misquoted and implicated by the opposition parties who have communalised the country

by dividing the communities,'' he said in a statement here on Thursday. Appreciating the huge turnout of over 70 per cent voting, Shah said that the voting itself is the reply of the people against Congress, Samajwadi Party and the BSP.

''The voting pattern was a proof that people want a change and they have rejected other parties,'' he claimed. Shah said that the record corruption by the UPA government in its two term and the act of an inefficient Prime Minister had made the people of the country angry against the Congress

and those parties who had supported the Central government. The BJP leader defended his statement in which Election Commission has served him a notice.''I have said nothing wrong and it was the Opposition political parties who raked up the issue,'' he said.

Meanwhile UP BJP spokesperson Vijay Bahadur Pathak too claimed that the first phase of elections in 10 lok Sabha was a clean sweep for the BJP.'' The launching pad of the BJP was excellent in the state and this will continue in the next five phases in the state and Narendra Modi will be the next PM of the country,'' he added.

Meanwhile Congress also hails high percentage of voting in the first phase elections in the State and claimed  that by showing such a tremendous interest in the biggest democratic exercise, the people of Uttar Pradesh had defeated the communal and fascist forces. ``The interest and enthusiasm seen in the first round of voting in 10 of the Parliament constituencies of the State had shown that the people wanted to teach a lesson to communal and divisive forces who were trying to divide this society on communal or caste line", claimed spokesman of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC), RP Singh.

Hailing the high percentage of voting in the first phase, Congress spokesman said that the trend further boosted the democratic set-up of this country where there is no space for those forces who wanted to come to power by fulfilling their communal agenda. ``High percentage of voting also

showed that people are more interested in development and progress of the country and does not wanted to give a fracture mandate", Singh claimed adding that Congress and it’s ally partner are in very good position and they had upper hand in Parliament constituencies like, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Aligarh, Bagpat and Bijnore etc.
