The ball will be set rolling for Government formation on Saturday as much awaited BJP legislature party meeting of the newly elected legislators will be held on March 18 in which law makers will elect their Chief Minister.

BJP state general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak said that the legislature party meeting will be held on Saturday at 5 pm. The venue of the meeting has so far not been decided. It can be held at Tilak Hall or the newly constructed lok Bhawan. Some even say it could he led at party office too.

Central party observers Union Urban development minister Venkiah Naidu and BJP general secretary Bhupendra Yadav would be arriving lucknow on Friday to make preparation for the meeting.

The meeting was earlier slated for March 16 but was postponed for next week as national leadership was busy with government formation in Goa and Manipur. It was also believed that party was at a fix over selection over CM’s candidate and therefore the process was delayed. But sudden change in plans indicates that leadership has sorted out the issue of Chief Minister.

Many names including that of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP state president Keshav Prasad Maurya, Mayor of lucknow Dr Dinesh Sharma and Minister of State for Telecom and Railways Manoj Sinha were taking round for last couple of days.

Sources say that after meeting of legislature Party the newly elected leader may go to Raj Bhawan to stake claim to form the government. The new government is likely to take oath on Sunday.
