Taking a jibe at the Bharaiya Janata Party, the ruling Samajwadi Party said that the party’s doors are open for the `rejected’ legislators who have lost favours with their parent parties and denied tickets for the Assembly polls.
Reacting to the report of six sitting MlAs joining the BJP, SP spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said that those leaders who have lost their political status are joining the BJP.
“leaders, who are not required and have been rejected by the parties are now finding favours with the BJP,” Chaudhry said on Thursday.
He said that the BJP leaders can feel happy. “They are claiming that their graph in the public is on the rise because some MlAs have joined them. They do not realize that these are people who have no following and they are joining the BJP just to keep their political ambitions alive,” he said.
“The BJP has been exposed after the lok Sabha polls. People now know that this is the party whose leaders make false promises. The people were told about ‘achche din’ but they are yet to actualise. The party won the lok Sabha election through marketing gimmick but this time, it will not succeed in UP,” asserted Chaudhary.
The SP leader said that the Samajwadi Party government has worked on all fronts and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has fulfilled all promises. “If people compare our performance with the previous governments of other parties, they will definitely vote for us. The SP will return to power with a bigger margin, he hoped.
