BJP hits out at SP for being soft on terror accused

Setting up the tempo for the next lok Sabha elections BJP  general secretary and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Amit Shah  said that party workers would not allow Mulayam Singh

Yadav to come out of his house if cases against terrorists  were withdrawn in the state.   ''The decision of Samajwadi Party government to withdraw  cases from terror accused is totally anti-constitutional and BJP will not allow such acts,'' he  told media persons in Jhansi. Shah, a close confidant of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra  Modi, is on a three-day tour of Bundelkhand and Agra  since Saturday.

He said the Akhilesh Yadav government has moved a  proposal to withdraw cases against 21 people involved in  terror-related incidents. ''Though the High Court put a stay  on the matter the SP government was trying hard to  impress the Muslims by its illegal act before the lok Sabha  elections,'' he said while announcing that BJP activists  would not allow Mulayam Singh Yadav to come out of his  house if such thing happens.

The BJP leader also charged the UP government with  deploying officials as per their intention to misuse them for  the party during the lok Sabha elections.  ''Several officials have now become a cadre of the SP and  they intended to work for the party in the elections,'' he  said. Meanwhile, BJP leader Rameshwar Chaurasia, deputy of  Shah, has already visited all the seven districts of  Bundelkhand region in the state and chalked out the  strategy for the coming lok Sabha elections. Bundelkhand region comprising 10 districts of Madhya  Pradesh and seven of UP is on the top priority for the BJP  in the coming lok Sabha elections.
