State Rashtriya lok Dal (RlD) president Dr Masood Ahmad said that the BJP government in the state had utterly failed in all fronts including law and order. Ahmad was speaking to newsmen at the RlS head office in lucknow on Thursday.
“There is not a day when heinous crimes were not reported across the state. No democratically elected government has failed to work in the past as the present one,” he charged.
Masood took a dig at the BJP government saying that it was being guided by the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) and had hardly any political vision.
“There is an atmosphere of communal hatred in the state while caste and class clashes were on an all time high and the future of the state was at stake,” he alleged.
The RlD leader hit out at the state government saying that it had reneged from it poll promise on farmers’ issues. “Potato growers were facing hardship due to faulty policies of the state government and it was yet to waive off farmers’ loans and set up purchase centers in the state,” he pointed out.
Ahmad announced that the RlD will stage a dharna in the state capital on January 16 to highlight the ptiable plight of potato growers. He further announced that the RlD will hold a Kisan Panchayat in Khandauli locality of Agra and it would be addressed by RlD national president Chaudhary Ajit Singh.
