Stressing on the importance of people to people contact BJP in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Om Mathur exhorted party workers to gear up for Mission 2017 by strengthening the party structure at the ground level.
“The party workers have enrolled over 1.56 crore new members. The onus is now on us to meet these members personally. We will have to go to every house in village and city to meet them The workers need to apprise the members about the policies of the BJP,” Mathur said while inaugurating two-day state working committee meeting on Monday.
He said that the party workers should keep it in mind that we will have to achieve success in 2017 assembly election. “The mantra of this success lies in building contacts with people. The more we meet with people more we will come to know about our weaknesses. This will help us in strengthening the party at grass root level,” BJP leader said.
“This is the right time to make a dent. People are fed up with the mis-rule of Akhilesh Yadav Government. People want a change and they are looking towards BJP to provide succor,” he said.
In a political resolution the party said law and order situation in the state is bad. The crimes are not registered. People are being killed everywhere – in courts, in hospitals and even on roads. This is because of politicization of police administration. In over 650 cases criminals have beaten up by police.
“Paper leak and cheating has become an industry in UP. Even civil services papers were leaked out. The youth feels disenchanted by this government. They neither have jobs nor social security. In some case they are forced to commit suicide,” he said.
The resolution also talked about corruption in state government and named few ministers like Gyatri Prajapati, Kailash Chaurasia and Maehboob Ali who are facing lokayukta probe. It also questioned government decision to curtail powers of Mayors of Nagar Nigam and highlighted prevailing power crisis in the state.
“In contrast to this the Modi government has built a positive atmosphere where youth has a hope to achieve his goal while the poor has been brought under the insurance umbrella. India’s has made its mark the way this government evacuated people from Yemen, and provided relief to Nepal,” the resolution said.
The workers have been asked to spread the message of good work done by the Naremdra Modi across the state so that people could see the difference between SP and BJP Governments, the resolution said.
