Samajwadi Party national president Mulayam Singh Yadav dropped a bomb shell on Thursday when he disclosed that some of the BJP leaders do not want Narendra Modi to become Prime Minister and are in touch with him asking him to crush Modi’’s dream of becoming PM.
“There are several senior BJP leaders who have asked me to prevent Modi from becoming the PM as they are apprehensive about their own future,” Yadav said while addressing an election meeting in Jaswantnagar in Etawah on Thursday.
He said that Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee wanted Modi to step down from the CM post after the Gujarat riots but lal Krishna Advani prevailed upon Atalji and saved Modi.” But now when Modi has not even spared Advaniji, who had helped him against Atal, now the other senior leaders are afraid of their own future. They are not sure as what would happen if Modi becomes the PM,” he said while adding: “ I have assured the BJP leaders that in no way Modi can become the PM of the country. The Samajwadi Party will stop him.”
He said that Modi is using the media to circulate a false propaganda that wave in his favour is sweeping across the country. “The Gujarat model of Modi is total fake as people are living in miseries there,” he said.Claiming that a Third Front government would come at the centre, the SP president said it is certain that UPA is loosing the elections and Congress will be out of power due to their wrong policies.Yadav also criticised the Election Commission for sending him a notice for insulting the women by making a statement in favour of the rape accused. “I have never insulted any woman in my life and such charges are just an insult to my image,” he said while adding that he has sent his reply over the issue to the EC.
He also appealed to the EC to withdraw its ban on party leader Mohammad Azam Khan.” Azam had done nothing wrong and has never made any controversial statement,” he claimed.
