Bjp demands to file case agst Khan

Calling Urban Development Minister Azam Khan’s decision to take Dadri issue to the United Nations as anti-national, the BJP has demanded that sedition case should be filed against the senior Samajwadi Party leader.

“Azam Khan’s claim that condition of Muslims in India is pathetic and there is an attempt to turn this country into Hindu state is wrong. Majority of Muslims residing here feels secured in this country,” BJP legislature party leader Suresh Kumar Khanna said in a statement issued here on Tuesday.

He said that the statement of Khan is deplorable and it is an anti-national act. “The Government should act against its own minister. The Chief Minister should show courage and drop him from the ministry,” he said.

Khanna said that the statement of Khanna was an attempt to win popularity and get some headlines. “He has no concern for Muslims. The Samajwadi Party has used Muslims as vote bank and still they do so,” he told The Pioneer on telephone.

“If Khan was serious in improving the condition of Muslims he should have launched welfare programme for the minority community. It was not done because this government wants to keep Muslims illiterate,” he said

Meanwhile, Khanna also condemned the police atrocities on the saints and sadhus at Varanasi and demanded a judicial probe into the matter.

He said that such atrocities against sadhus and saints in 1990 had brought BJP to power with full majority. “ Such situation will be replicated in 2017 polls,” he said.
