Demanding a CBI probe into the Dadri murder case, the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party said that people had lost faith in UP Police and wanted the central agency to solve this killing.
“The family members of BJP’s slain leader Vijay Pandit are also demanding a CBI probe into his murder as they have no faith on local police,” BJP state spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here on Monday.
He said party’s state president laxmikant Bajpai met the bereaved family members of the slain leader on Monday and listened to their woes.
“The party workers as well as the family members of Pandit have questioned the integrity of Circle Officer of Dadri, Ahuj Chaudhary, who has got three promotions during his posting in Gautam Buddha Nagar district alone,” Pathak said.
He said Vijay Pandit was killed to settle political scores as he had time and again raised voice against the extortion racket going on in the city and had pointed an accusing finger towards a senior leader of the Samajwadi Party. “We believe that the Noida police will not do justice in this case and therefore the probe should be handed over to the CBI,” the BJP state spokesman said.
