With party’s membership reached 10.2 crore mark the Bharatiya Janata Party claimed that every 12th person in the country is a party member. “Party had received 13 crore votes during the last lok Sabha elections and now we have made 10.32 crore new members, which shows that every 12th person of the country is a BJP member,’’ party’s national general secretary and MP Saroj Pandey told media persons here on Tuesday
“After this successful campaign the party is launching the ‘Maha Sampark Abhiyan’ on May 1when the party workers and leaders will go to the houses of each and every new member and make them fill up forms,” she said.
Pandey said that during the ‘Maha Abhiyan,’ the party leaders and workers will visit every household and will hand over a letter of the BJP national president Amit Shah besides apprise them of the achievement of the Narendra Modi Government. She also said that the details of new members about their sex and caste would be made available very soon. Pandey accused the opposition for criticizing government for nothing.
“The opposition is trying to confuse the people,” she said. Earlier, Pandey attended a workshop of the party leaders educating them about the nuances of Maha Sampark Abhiyan. The party has decided to hold district and divisional level training workshops for the workers and leaders for the ‘Maha Sampark Abhiyan ‘next month in a phased manner.
