BJP attacks SP leader for diverting peoples attention against govt failure

Reacting sharply to the statement of Samajwadi Party national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav calling Governor Ram Naik as RSS workers state BJP said that by attacking Raj Bhawan SP leadership was trying to divert the attention of the people from the failures of the Akhilesh Yadav government.

“The governor has said nothing wrong when he said law and order situation in the state is bad. As a constitutional head of the state he is within his right to suggest government on law and order front,” BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said in a statement issued here on Monday.

He said that SP leadership has attacked Raj Bhawan to divert the attention of the people from bad governance. What happened in last 10 days across the state is an eye opener. The administration failed to control mob because there is no fear of police in the minds of people, he said.

“What Ram Gopal Yadav said was a political statement. Previously SP president Mulayam Singh Yadav too had said that government’s performance was not up to the mark. He is on record in saying that ministers take commission. Chief Minister has asked his workers to stop doing thana and tehsil politics. What is thisIJ If everything is fine why Mulayam Singh Yadav has issued statements against ministers and his own government,” asks Pathak

He said instead of targeting Raj Bhawan the SP leadership should allow police to work independently. The SP leaders should be asked not to give patronage to criminals. If police is given a free hand the situation can be controlled within no time.

“But this needs political will and this Akhilesh Yadav Government does not have that will to reign on goonda elements,” Pathak said.
