Hitting out at the State Government the state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party said that recent report of National Crime Bureau has exposed the claims of improvements in law and order as Uttar Pradesh has topped in the category of murders in the country while Taj City Agra has earned laurels in violent incidents.
BJP spokesman Manoj Mishra said that the NCB report is the clear reflection of state of things in Uttar Pradesh. The law and order situation is bad and people are now scared to go out after sun set. "The people’s fear has come true. They always believed return of goonda raj with the formation of Samajwadi party government and the recent incidents as well as NCB report has proved that the people are no longer safe in Uttar Pradesh," Mishra said in a statement issued here on Sunday.
The Akhilesh Government has been claiming an improvement in law and order after taking charge. But the NCB report clearly says that UP tops in criminal incidents,
He said the development in the state has come to a naught. Because of poor law and order situation the entrepreneurs are not willing to invest in Uttar Pradesh. The ministers are busy with their own agenda to mint money while the police, which is responsible to maintain law and order, is busy in giving patronage to the criminals, the BJP spokesman said.
"Criminals have got a free hand and the way they attack police men and then melt into thin area shows these criminals have a political link," he said and added: "Unless Akhilesh Yadav government improves law and order the state cannot progress."
