The state unit of BJP announced candidates for the coming by-elections to three assembly seats in the state to be held on February 13.
Spokesperson Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here on Monday that Rampal Pundir will be the candidates from Deoband assembly seat in Saharanpur district, Kapil Dev from Muzaffarnagar sadar seat in Muzaffarnagar district and Sriram Krishna Tiwari from Bikar assembly seat in Faizabad district.
Nominations for the bypolls will start on January 20. All the three seats were of the ruling Samajwadi Party. The election was necessitated following death of the members.
The SP had already given tickets to the family members of the deceased members in all the three seats.
