State BJP president, laxmikant Bajpai told reporters here that the government should immediately sack Prajapati so that an impartial enquiry could be done.‘Charges levelled against the minister is very serious and the complainant has even given evidences of corruption. Hence Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav should sack him immediately to give a proof about his clean governance,’ Bajpai said.

Bajpai said if SP government did not take any action against Prajapati then it would mean that the CM had given his approval in the corrupt practises of his minister.BJP has also sought reply of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on the issue. “The mining minister is playing in the hands of mining mafia and minting money. Despite orders of High Court, illegal mining could not be stopped as mining mafia are patronised by government itself”, BJP spokesman Chandramohan told reporters. He said that SP government had only taken forward corrupt practices of the previous BSP regime and did nothing for the people.

Congress MlA and former UP Congress president, Rita Bahuguna Joshi, too, demanded sacking of the minister and went ahead in calling for a CBI probe into the matter.  She said it was in public about the wrong doings of the minister, since long, and now the people are giving evidences to the lokayukta about his corruption.
