Picking up the gauntlet thrown by Samajwadi Party Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said here on Thursday that if any of his family members were involved in Bisada case state government should take action against them immediately.
"What the state government is waiting forIJ If it has any proof of my family members involved in Bisada case it should immediately take action against them. Samajwadi Party Government controls police in Uttar Pradesh,” Singh told reporters here.
Early this week senior Samajwadi Party leader Ambika Chaudhry had alleged that disquiet in Bisada after a forensic lab in Mathura had confirmed presence of beef in Akhlaq’s house was the handiwork of the family members of Union Home Minister.
"All these allegations against my family members are false,” Union Minister said. “My family is ready for any scrutiny,” he said.
He has come to his parliamentary constituency to have jan samvaad (interaction) with party workers on completion of NDA Government’s two years in office.
When asked about Samajwadi party leaders’ allegations that MHA had failed to give intelligence inputs about infiltration of Naxalites in Jawahar bagh in Mathura and stockpiling of arms and ammunition Singh said that his ministry has received state government’s report but “has not seen that as yet”.
“I cannot comment on that issue because I do not know what state has said about that case. I will study the report once I go back to Delhi,” he said.
During Jan Samvaad BJP’s MP from Mohanlalganj kaushal Kishore alleged that state government was creating hurdles in implementation of central government schemes. When Union Home Minister was confronted with this allegation he said: “State Government should help in implementation of central schemes. These all schemes are meant to benefit people. Why they are creating hurdles.”
He said that the Central Government has been helping state whenever it asks for it. “It is wrong if state government says that we are not helping them,” Singh said.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has time and again alleged that Centre is biased against Samajwadi Party Government. He has blasted NDA Government for curtailing state’s share and not allocating UP’s quota of electricity.
During his interaction with party workers Union Minister said that economy has touched a new high under NDA regime. During Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s time the GDP of the nation was 8.4 per cent but during UPA Government’s tenure it came down to less than 6 per cent. “In last two years of Modi government the GDP has gone up to 7.6 per cent,” Union Home Minister said.
"The biggest achievement of our government is that we have given a transparent government which is free from corruption. During UPA time coal scam was worth Rs 1.86 lakh crore while in our regime we made a profit of Rs 2 lakh crore. We made small structural and procedural changes that made positive impact on our economy,” Singh said.
Minister asked party workers to go masses and tell them about the achievements of the government. “What we have done in two years no one can do in 60 years,” he said.
