On the occasion of 108th birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that a park in the memory of martyr would be constructed near Agra-lucknow Expressway in Kannauj.
“The country cannot forget the contribution made of Bhagat Singh during India’s freedom struggle. His extreme sacrifice invigorated youth of that time to join the freedom struggle. In memory of this son of the soil the Uttar Pradesh Government has decided to build a park,” Chief Minister said in a written statement issued here on Monday.
The proposed park would be set up at village Fagua across Agra-lucknow Expressway in Kannauj district. Kannuaj is the parliamentary constituency of Dimple Yadav, wife of Chief Minister.
Yadav said that the proposed park will have a full size statue of Bhagat Singh and his contribution in freedom struggle would be displayed in form of murals.
