Beni Prasad Verma makes allegations on Narendra Modi

Published on:
Congress Working Committee(CWC) member and Union Steel Minister Beni Prasad Verma, alleged that Bharatiya Janta Party’s (BJP) PM candidate Narendra Modi feels the facts that his dreams of becoming prime minister would never by fulfilled hence he started making statements that he doesn't care if he wins or loses in the elections.
``The sudden change in the attitude of Narendra Modi and his statements about brotherhood and promising not to take any political revenge shows that the BJP is fast loosing its
ground ,''Beni said while quoting Modi’s statement in which he conceded to be ready both for win or defeat but would not hurt the social fabric of the country. Attacking Modi further on the issue, union Minister, said that Modi had realised about BJP’s defeat in the election or else Gujrat chief minister should explain that if he realy wanted to maintain social fabric than why his Party mentioned about construction of Ram Temple in their manifesto.
``When in 1996, than BJP’s PM Atal Bihari Bajpayee had clearly said that Ram Temple will be never in their Party’s manifesto in the future along with Article 370 etc than why now after almost two decades Modi mentioned about the above", questioned Beni alleging that Modi wanted to polarise the electorate but now when he realised the facts, he was trying to withdraw from his agenda. Union Minister also asked Modi to explain that whether they would made amendments in the Constitution to build Ram Temple as they mentioned about it in their manifesto.
Interestingly, Beni also admitted that BJP's vote share has increased in the State and even predicted that the party can won up to 20 seats out of 80 in UP. Addressing a press
conference here on Saturday afternoon, Verma, who is contesting from Gonda seat which goes to poll on May 7, also disclosed that Modi ran away from home when he was 15 years after probably committing a murder.  But the leader did not disclose the details and even said that Modi could have removed the FIR or the papers when he became the CM.
''The main motive of the BJP leaders to capture the power at the Centre was to end the cases of Ayodhya demolition and Gujarat riots against them,'' he said while adding that BJP is always against the Muslims and terrorism in the country was launched after Ayodhya demolition and it increased after the Godhra riots. ''Modi will have to spent his entire life in jail after Supreme Court gives its decision on the Godhra riots,'' he claimed.
Defending SP leader Mohammad Azam Khan over his reported controversial speech leading to his ban by the Election Commission, Beni said Azam is a secular person and he has said nothing such which was objectionable. ''Amit Shah, a criminal in the Gujarat riots, is a communal person and his speech was meant to instigate hatred in the society,'' he said but refused to react on the EC's decision to give Shah a relief but denied such to Azam and just said EC is a democratic and constitutional body.  Hitting out at the BJP for spending black money of the Adani's in the election campaign the Congress leader said the BJP's manifesto saying abolition of Article 370 from Kashmir is being raked just to benefit the industrialists to park their black money. He also alleged that the BJP government in Gujarat was receiving Rs 100 crore monthly from the liquor mafias as there is total prohibition in the state.
But the Congress leader defended Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress President Sonia Gandhi over his reported growth of assets in the past five years.'' Assets of a businessman always grows. But Vadra's money is not been used for campaigning like being done by the Adani's,'' he stated.  He also said Manmohan Singh is the most honest
Prime Minister the country has seen and his only draw-back is that he speaks less and did not care of his criticism.
Commenting on the EC's notice to Mulayam Singh Yadav for threating the teachers to vote, he said, ''my  old friend now have to seek apology before the EC.''
