Continuing onslaught at Samajwadi Party, Union Minister for Steel, Beni Prasad Verma fired fresh salvo claiming that days of Akhilesh Yadav’s led government are numbered. Surprisingly, this his first attack on Akhilesh Yadav as on earlier occasions Beni refused to save anything against chief minister claiming him as his `nephew’.
'' The Samajwadi Party would crumble like a pack of cards after the lok Sabha elections when people will reject the party,'' claimed Beni Prasad Verma here at his residence on Monday afternoon. Earlier also the Union minister had said that Mulayam Singh Yadav's party will win only four seats in the lok Sabha polls and there will be a 'funeral procession' for the Party.
Interestingly, in wake of reported warning by Congress All India President, Rahul Gandhi to remain soft on Samajwadi Party as it s supporting the Congress led United Progressive Alliance government in the Centre, Beni Prasad was very cautious while making fresh attack on Monday. He totally avoided electronic media while he invited just `selective’ reporters at his residence. The ove is said to be made just as Beni wanted that his statement should not relay directly from his `mouth’ through electronic media but must confined to some print media only as on earlier occasion it already created embarrassment for Congress, particularly for Sonia Gandhi who had to tender apology before Mulayam in the Parliament just to avert any kind of danger to UPA government. Beni’s calculated move is also evident from the fact that reporters of some electronic channels who reached Beni’s House to cover his statement were refused entry by his personal staff.
Talking here at lucknow with some of his media `friends’, the Kurmi leader reportedly alleged that Mulayam Singh Yadav should he held responsible for the demolition of the Babri Mosque at Ayodhya. ''SP and BJP had joined hands in conspiring to demolish the disputed structure. Mulayam was equally responsible like BJP leaders in the demolition,'' he said.
Commenting on the recent dispute between BJP and JD(U) over prime Ministerial candidature of Narendra Modi and JD(U) supporting lal Krishna Advani for the post, Beni Prasad Verma said that both Modi and Advani are communal and both are responsible for creating communal riots in the country. While Modi was responsible for massacre of innocent people of a particular section of society in Gujarat, Advani did same during his Ayodhya Rath Yatra . He also held Advani and Mulayam equally responsible for demolition of Babri Mosque. Earlier Beni had triggered a storm by saying that Mulayam Singh Yadav allegedly has 'terrorist links' besides accusing the SP leader for betraying the members of minority community. He also claimed that both Mulayam and lal Krishna Advani had tactical understanding just to win elections after flaring up communal tension.
