Continuing his verbal tirade against Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav, Union Steel minister Beni Prasad Verma alleged that Yadav and his party were hand-in-glove with the Bharatiya Janata Party. He also dared SP supremo to come on any public platform and he
will show that he had enough proof to establish that he was speaking on facts and not making baseless charges.
"I have a solid proof that Mulayam Singh Yadav has a tacit understanding with the BJP and eying polarisation of votes ahead of the 2014 lok Sabha elctions," Beni Prasad Verma asserted while talking to newspersons here on Saturday morning. He claimed that Yadav, a friend-turned-foe,
might try to spread communal tension for polarisation of votes. The union minister also challenged the SP supremo and former chief Minister to come on any public platform and counter his charges if he thought that they are made without any facts that both BJP and Mulayam had
understanding in demolition of Babri Mosque or that they always supported each other to polarise the voters.
Bani Prasad further raised suspicion over the death of 2007 serial blasts accused Khalid Mujahid in police custody in June this year and sought a probe by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) into his demise. "NIA should be handed over the probe into the death of the terror blast
accused," he uttered. "If the state government does not order the NIA probe, it means something is fishy," he commented.
Talking about Ayodhya issue, Beni Prasad Verma questioned why were the para-military forces removed in a large number from
Ayodhya on October 30, 1990 during the heat of Ayodhya movement. Four companies of central forces were each deployed at Madhya
Pradesh and Bihar borders, while four companies were pressed into service at Colonelganj in Gonda district for riot-control. Only
some trainee policemen were left for the security of Ayodhya, he further asked. Beni Prasad, who was a minister under the previous regime
of Mulayam Singh Yadav, also questioned the firing near Hanumangarhi on November 2, 1990. Also, why did former UP Chief Minister Kalyan Singh did not order any probe into the killing of several Hindus in this firing incident, the leader said adding, some time ago, Yadav
praised senior BJP leader lal Krishna Advani and even went upto saying, that lK Advani never lied. Such statements proves that Yadav was close to the BJP leaders, he explained.
The union minister further stated that BJP UP affairs in charge Amit Shah must have prayed to lord Ram for acquittal from all criminal charges during his visit to the religious city on Saturday. The people of UP would give a befitting reply to Gujarat Chief Minister and senior BJP
leader Narendra Modi as well as SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav during the impending lok Sabha elections. He further rapped Narendra Modi for his decision to install a bust of the "Iron Man of India" Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, who opposed the Rashtriya
