According to reports, there is a crematorium in Mohalla Para of Faridpur.  A room and a verandah have been built on the cremation ground which is near a Goddess Kali temple. The body of Baba Bhushan Nath (65), who had been living there for about 25 years, was found lying on a cot in the verandah on Tuesday morning.

It was suspected that the priest was murdered by someone close to him. There is a pond near the cremation ground and it is being filled these days. As a result, the pond water was reaching the cremation ground and the priest was opposing it. Police suspected that he might have been killed over this issue.
